For Halloween I decided to go for a Marilyn Monroe look, but seeing as how I didn’t have any vintage dresses, I had to make due with this fancy polka dot number that I picked up for $3 at Thank You Mart. I paired it with my Melissa T-bars, and a single strand pearl necklace. I didn’t have too much time to completely due the hair and make-up correctly, but I managed to get in some curls and some eyeliner and lipstick before I had to leave for work.
Then halfway through the day, my coworker said something rather exciting and I flailed my arms, and managed to knock an entire cup of hot cocoa all over my dress. It was such a mess, that I had to change into a work shirt so I could go home and get changed into real clothing. Thank goodness that I’m a tiny person and for an office that has a large stockpile of XL shirts.
I tried to at least stick with the theme when I went back to change, and wore my Anglomania Watteau Sunday Dress and a cardigan. Fortunately I didn’t spill any more drinks on this dress.
