My friend invited us to her birthday party out in the valley. On the way to the venue, we stopped at Party City and grabbed all the pirate props we could find. Over the course of the evening, a tourist asked me to dance, to which I said no thank you (I’m a respectable married woman), and he got so mad he stole the pirate hat right off my head, bolted out the front door, and down the street. The bouncer chased him a couple blocks before he came back and apologized to me that he wasn’t able to save my hat. Poor hat.
